Editorial Policy
This policy explains how content is produced and maintained on NepalCarNews, so readers know what to expect from what they're reading.
Independence
Our pricing tables, specifications, comparisons and rankings are not influenced by payments from manufacturers or dealers. Where the site displays advertising (for example, through Google AdSense), advertising placement is kept separate from editorial content, and no advertiser has influence over what we publish or how vehicles are compared.
How we source information
Specifications and pricing are compiled from publicly available manufacturer and dealer information and cross-checked where possible. Because Nepal's vehicle taxation and dealer pricing can change, particularly around the national budget cycle, we treat published figures as reflecting the most recent information we had at time of publication or last update, not a live real-time feed.
Updates and version transparency
Articles and guides display a "published" and "last updated" date. Model and brand pages are reviewed periodically; if you notice outdated information, please use the correction contact listed on our Contact page — corrections are typically our fastest content update path.
Corrections process
When a factual error is confirmed, we update the relevant page and, for material corrections to published articles, note the correction date. We don't silently rewrite history on factual matters that readers may have already acted on.
Calculators and tools
Our calculators use standard, publicly documented financial formulas (such as the reducing-balance method for EMI). We don't use proprietary "black box" scoring, and all formulas are applied consistently regardless of brand.
What we don't do
We don't publish paid or sponsored "reviews" without clear disclosure, we don't accept payment in exchange for favourable comparison outcomes, and we don't fabricate user reviews or testimonials.
